RE: Pay Cut for Couric? [Kevin D. Williamson]
CBS News president Sean McManus tells HuffPo that the Drudge story on Katie Couric I referenced earlier is untrue, saying:
"I can tell you unequivocally that there have been and are no plans and not even a single discussion about making a change or renegotiating."
A CBS insider I spoke to seconds that take and says the report is "a complete fabrication" with "no factual basis." Categorical denial: Looks like Couric's $300,000 a week is safe for now.
