Here we go again. In today's episode of Kidz4Change, an unidentified group of first-graders (my best guess) is coached/choreographed by at least one teacher to worship at the altar of President Obama. "Creepy" doesn't nearly suffice:
Lowlights:
Political Sloganeering- "Equal work gets equal pay!"
Obama/Jesus comparisons- "Red and yellow; black and white...they are equal in his sight." (Him being Obama). These lyrics may sound familiar to Sunday school alumni.
Forced fawning- "Hello Mr. President, we honor you today! ... Hooray Mr. President, you are number one!"
Unlike the infamous "Sing for Change" video that made the rounds during the campaign, this clip appears to have been shot in an actual school, presumably during instruction time. No word — yet — on where this school is located, or whether it's a public school. No matter how you slice it, this spectacle is totally inappropriate.
Stray thoughts:
Are the children racists for mentioning the president's middle name?
Might the kiddos have been spontaneously rejoicing after the president's much-ballyhooed address a few weeks back?
