Here's the latest from Team Obama on the troop visit to Ramstein, according to ABC:
UPDATE: Obama campaign spokeswoman Linda Douglass says, "We told military officials explicitly that Senator Obama had absolutely no attention [sic] of bringing any members of the media or photographers in with him to visit the wounded warriors. In all of our communications with the military, we stressed that this was to be a private visit by Senator Obama."
As Jim has been posting since the beginning of the story, the issue was that Gen. Gration wasn't going to be allowed to go, as he's campaign staff and not Senate staff. The Obama campaign's continued smear of the Pentagon in an attempt to make this seem like a George Bush inspired campaign against Obama is just not honorable.
